A Liveryman as your Apprentice Master
Each year the Company binds a small number of apprentices to a Liveryman. It is a mentoring relationship first — and a way into the Livery and the City for people at the start of a career in farming.

What an apprentice gets
- A structured mentoring scheme
- Exposure to the Livery, the City of London and its networks
- An annual luncheon with your Apprentice Master
- A possible contribution towards travel, and towards educational travel
- A simpler and cheaper route into the Livery, up to the age of 40
- Continuing involvement with the Company afterwards
What is asked in return
- To be aged 18 to 24 at binding; the apprenticeship ends at 26
- A commitment to engage with your mentor
- To learn something of the art of farming
- To attend a livery luncheon each year with your Master
- To write a 250-word update once a year

There is no application form. Speak to the Clerk, who will explain how binding works and what the Company looks for.
