Supporting the Company
Leaving a gift in your will
The Company’s charitable work was built on bequests from earlier Liverymen. A gift now, or a legacy later, goes straight into the courses, scholarships and awards.
The ask
No gift is too small to matter
Please consider leaving the Worshipful Company of Farmers Charitable Fund a gift in your will.
No matter how large or small, your generosity helps us continue a long tradition of charitable work and of educating future generations of young people — a tradition we should all be rightly proud to be part of. Every gift so far has made a difference.
The options
Four ways to leave a gift
The Company can help arrange whichever suits your situation. A gift can be made for a particular purpose, though we would generally encourage Liverymen to let the Livery decide where it is most needed at the time.
By kind of gift
- A residuary gift — the remainder of your estate, after all payments and other bequests
- A pecuniary gift — a set sum of money
- A specific gift — property, assets, stocks and shares, investments
- A reversionary gift — one the Company benefits from after the death of another beneficiary
What your gift does
- Strengthens the endowment, so the Company can meet what is coming
- Attracts leaders in their fields to teach on our courses
- Widens our work in agricultural business management and research
- Increases what the Almoners committee is able to give
